We started this because jewellery was losing its soul.
Danielle trained as a designer, fashion and textiles at UTS, and walked away from that industry because it had become disposable. Mass market, mass production, no relationship with the person wearing the work. Then she met Bobby, a jeweller, and found the thing fashion couldn’t give her: designing one-on-one, for one person, for one story at a time.
She went to the GIA to study gemology, they opened the studio together, and since 2005 Daniella Jewellers has run the same way: a small, family-run atelier in the Dymocks Building on George Street, where the person who designs your piece sits beside the person who makes it.
The belief behind it is simple. A diamond is not a spec sheet, and a ring is not just metal and stones. The real value is in the design, the trust, the story, and the relationship with the person making it. Too much of this industry sells certificates and trends. We’d rather slow down and make something meaningful, something you can wear every day, and one day pass down.
