Ring resizing, Sydney
A ring that doesn’t fit doesn’t get worn. We resize rings up and down at the bench, platinum, gold, diamonds and precious gemstones, measure your finger properly rather than guessing, and finish the join so it disappears into the band. Platinum ring resizing is a specialty: no join marks.
Not every ring can be resized safely
Some designs cannot be resized without weakening the ring. Tension settings and some patterned or stone-set bands fall into this group, and a large size jump carries different risks to a small adjustment.
That is why Bobby assesses every ring in hand before we quote. We also verify your stones before the ring leaves the counter, and again with you at pickup, so you know the ring you handed us is the ring you take home.

Complex jobs, fixed quickly with our laser welder
Our laser welder lets us repair the most complex pieces quickly and precisely, including work near heat-sensitive stones that traditional soldering can’t touch. Most jobs are not too hard, and on-the-spot fine chain repair starts from $55.
We’re conveniently located in the Sydney CBD. Drop your jewellery off, go for lunch, grab a coffee or do some shopping, then come back and pick it up, no second trip into the city.

Stones are verified with you under the microscope at drop-off and again at pickup, so you know the piece you handed us is the piece you take home. Repairs carry a one-year warranty.

An honest second opinion
Been quoted for a repair that doesn’t sound right, or told a piece can’t be saved? Bring it in. We’ll take the time to explain until you feel comfortable, even with the smallest jobs, including when the honest answer is to leave the piece alone.

Jewellery repair questions
Do you repair jewellery that wasn’t bought from Daniella?
Yes. We repair jewellery from anywhere, inherited pieces, rings bought overseas, or pieces whose original jeweller has closed. Everything is repaired in-house at our Sydney CBD workshop, and jewellery we custom make comes with lifetime free inspection, cleaning and polishing.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome. For while-you-wait or same-day service we ask you to book, so the jeweller can reserve the time for your piece, a $95 per-ring express fee applies for same-day ring sizing.
How long does it take to resize a ring?
While-you-wait or same-day service usually takes 30 to 45 minutes. Standard drop-off service is around 7 to 10 working days.
How much does ring resizing cost in Sydney?
Resizing smaller starts from $150 and larger from $225, depending on the metal, the width of the band and how far the size needs to move. Quoting is free, and no work starts until you’ve agreed to the quote.
Can every ring be resized?
Most can, including many diamond eternity rings, and wedding rings can often move up to one size without cutting. Some designs, like tension settings and certain patterned or stone-set bands, can’t be resized without weakening the ring, which is why Bobby assesses every ring in hand before we quote. We’ll always tell you honestly.
How do I know my diamond wasn’t swapped during the repair?
Before we take your jewellery in, we show you the stone under the microscope and document its inclusions, characteristics and any GIA laser inscription. At pickup you check it under the microscope again and confirm it’s the same stone. We can also test for natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds and moissanite.
Can you rhodium plate my white gold ring while I wait?
Yes. Rhodium plating restores the bright white lustre of white gold, and in many cases we can do it while you wait.
