Jewellery laser welding Sydney
Precise repairs where heat and control matter.
Laser welding can repair or rebuild a very small area without heating the whole piece. It is a useful technique, not an automatic answer, so Bobby first checks the metal, stones and previous work.
What you may be wondering
The right repair depends on what surrounds the damage.
- Could heat affect the stone or setting?
- Is there enough sound metal to support a repair?
- Has the piece been repaired before?
- Will the join be strong enough for daily wear?
- Would rebuilding the worn area be safer than patching it?
Our approach
Choose the method after seeing the piece.
Laser welding directs a concentrated pulse of heat into a small area. That control can be valuable around detailed settings and delicate components, but it does not remove the need for a full inspection.
Bobby examines the damage under magnification, checks nearby stones and looks for wear beyond the obvious break. You receive a recommendation based on strength and long-term use, not simply the fastest visible fix.
If laser welding is not the responsible method, we explain the alternative and why.

Questions we’re often asked
What is jewellery laser welding used for?
It can join or rebuild very small areas with concentrated heat, making it useful for some ring, chain, claw and setting repairs where a traditional torch would expose too much of the piece to heat.
Can laser welding repair jewellery near gemstones?
Sometimes. The stone type, condition, setting and exact repair determine whether it is safe. The piece must be inspected before a method is chosen.
Is a laser repair invisible?
The aim is a strong, refined result, but the existing metal, wear, previous repairs and access to the damaged area all affect the finish. We explain the likely result before quoting.
Do you laser weld jewellery purchased elsewhere?
Yes. Jewellery does not need to have been bought from Daniella Jewellers. Every piece is assessed on its current condition.

A few details help the studio understand what you are bringing in. No work begins until the piece has been inspected and you have approved the recommendation.
